MASVINGO – Youthful, energetic, Zimdancehall entertainers, Enock Munhenga aka EXQ and Stephen Kudzanai Mamhere aka Enzo Ishall are expected to light up the ancient city at the home of entertainment, Caravan Park tomorrow (Friday) in a welcome bash for Great Zimbabwe University students as well as the summer season that is now upon us.
Rudo Shoko of Lulu Events who are behind the top of the shelf show told The Midweek Watch that they have also organised the welcome gig as a prelude to the Masvingo Agriculture Show later this month which is expected to be bigger than last year due to the relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions.
“This gig is mainly for welcoming GZU students who recently opened and also to create hype for the upcoming Masvingo Agricultural Show which will be held at the end of this month,” said Shoko aka Lulu.
Lulu said the artists have confirmed their participation and tickets will be sold at the entrance and has encouraged fans to come early in order to avoid congestion at the gate.
She also added that the event is also meant as a hype for the forthcoming Lake October Great Zimbabwe Festival meant to run from October 21 to 23 this year where more than 10 000 visitors are expected to throng the ancient city as well as other tourist attractions in Masvingo Province.
The granddaddy of turn tables in Masvingo, Austine Tapfumanei Mhembere popularly known by his legion of fans as DJ Elder Kauleza will be providing entertainment in between the show.
